Bauchi – Lamidi Apapa, the factional head of the Labour Party, has exposed the talk making round via virtual entertainment that Bola Tinubu, the duly elected president, is supporting him to bring on some issues in the party.
Apapa made the forswearing in response to the developing contentions about the administration of the Work Party that was right now factionalized between Julius Abure and Lamidi Apapa, The Tribune revealed.
According to the Labour Party’s Apapa faction of the National Executive Committee (NEC), it would pursue the party’s petition before the Presidential Election Tribunal to its logical conclusion.
His statement reads in part: “Nobody is sponsoring me to destroy the LP, how can I even do such a thing to a party I helped developed over 20 years ago? I am a founding member of the LP, and since I joined, I have never for once left it for another party.”
Apapa reviewed how he and Peter Obi, the official competitor of the Labour Party had gone round the country for his mission, adding that it is bizarre that the previous legislative leader of Anambra state currently asserted he didn’t have any acquaintance with him.
