National Leader of All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has warned against helping herdsmen and leaving farmers unattended to, saying doing so may trigger resentment along ethnic lines.
He said those who see the matter as an ethnic issue are not doing the farmer and herder any good.
Tinubu who said this in a statement yesterday spoke against the backdrop of the alarming dimension the farmer/herder crisis has taken lately.
Clashes between farmers and herdsmen had claimed thousands of lives, leaving many displaced across the country.
Currently, there are fears of food crisis following the inability of farmers to go to their farms for fear of being attacked by herdsmen. The crisis has assumed an ethnic angle, with many calling for an urgent solution.
