Da KJ BOY releases his sophomore studio compilation, a 14-song Long Playlist (LP) titled HYLY EXCLUSIVE (Hype Yourself and Live Your Life Exclusively).
While releasing his debut Ep “Le Nouveau” last year, Da KJ BOY was already working on HYLY EXCLUSIVE, particularly the first part titled “Hype Yourself”.
This was inspired by the desire to encourage and motivate listeners from all demographic groups, facing the current hard times. It was also intended to create a short playlist that they could listen to.
In the process of producing the project, Da KJ BOY, somehow an introvert character-wise, pushed himself, especially during the promotion of “Le Nouveau”.
The main aim was to connect with his people and also build new relationships, but his experience with the industry and its stakeholders was disappointing.
He saw his potential doubted on several occasions, coupled with bias, and an unreal exhibition of love for his person and art.
New to this environment, some of these experiences had an adverse effect on his creativity, consequently breaking him down for a while, till the moment he found himself and understood his purpose, which was to impact his people positively.
