I was born blind actually- Singer, Chidinma reveals

Nigerian singer and songwriter turned gospel minister, Chidinma Ekile, has revealed that she was born blind.

Chidinma, who quit secular music to become a gospel artist in 2021, made this revelation in a video on her YouTube page.

“I was born blind actually, I did not open my eyes at all, and that became a challenge. My parents tried all that they could to get me to see,” she revealed.

According to her, her parents eventually turned to God after medical efforts proved abortive, and miraculously, she gained her sight.

She further added that after gaining her sight, her mum made a deal with God without her knowledge and dedicated her to Him.

Without my knowledge, my mum made a deal with God,” she added.

Chidinma Ekile gained prominence after emerging as winner of the reality TV show, Project Fame, in 2010.
