Veteran singer, Tiwa Savage has taken a giant leap into the movie industry as a producer. The singer is set to release her first movie titled “Water and Garri”.
Tiwa took to her verified Instagram page and announced the production of her soon to be released movie, which is a featured film.
According to her, the film is going to be an iconic moment. This is because she acted a lead role in the movie and is also the executive producer of the movie.
The Afrobeat singer, is set to add another feather to her cap as she launches into Nollywood as an executive producer with her featured film “Water and Garri”.
This is the first time she would perform as a lead character and also her first production. The film is directed by star studded director, Meji Alabi.

The film “Water and Garri”, is a story of success marinated with past hurt coming from a place of guilty conscience.
Tiwa Savage acted the role of Aisha, a successful fashion designer living in the United States of America who returns to Nigeria to battle with her past.
The film featured some iconic actors like Mike Afolarin, Andrew Bunting, and Jemima Osunde.
“Water and Garri” is jointly produced by Unbound Studios and JM Films. The script was written by Comfort Emmanuel and directed writer by Meji Alabi.
