Love Is… EP comes after the release of 3 singles – Suga Baby, African Barbie & African King. Across six tracks, Bella Alubo blends Neo Motherland elements with Afropop; fusing R&B, Hip-Hop, and Soul while incorporating newer genres like Amapiano and Alté.
ABOUT THE FOCUS TRACK:
Through Afropop storytelling set against contrasting lifestyles, ‘Kiss N Tell’ paints a vivid picture of modern romance under the shade of a mango tree. Bella Alubo’s rhymes on the production by Mayor inspires dance and falling in love all over again. The song references Rumba Rock and includes dancehall influences. This is the lead single for the Love Is… EP. Bella Alubo is performing this track on Clout Africa (5th March) along with a live band. The video will be available for streaming.
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Bella Alubo has amassed over 40 million
streams of her music across platforms. She is a Nigerian model turned artiste. With collaborations ranging from The Notorious B.I.G & Ty Dolla $ign to Sho Madjozi & YCee; Bella Alubo credits being less than 1 kilometre from bomb blast impact at her North-Central Nigerian home town in 2015 as one of the things that fuelled her decision to pursue music. She is signed to LA-based record label, Benin City Ent.
