Frank Lampard has been appointed interim manager of Chelsea until the end of the season – just over two years after he was sacked by the club.
He has been unemployed since Everton sacked him after less than a year in the job in January. The former Chelsea and England midfielder managed the Blues from July 2019 until January 2021, when he was replaced by Thomas Tuchel.
Tuchel’s successor, Graham Potter, was sacked on Sunday. Chelsea are 11th in the Premier League and drew 0-0 with Liverpool.
