famous record labels, Mavin Records have been in an enraptured mood since yesterday, as they celebrate their 10th Anniversary.

Mavin Records label was founded in the year 2012 by Nigerian prolific singer and producer, Don Jazzy who is also seen as one of the legends in Nigeria’s music industry.

The record label has some very top artists like D’Prince, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, Iyanya, Di’Ja, and prestigious Tiwa Savage who parted ways after 7 years of the contract, and more recently, Ladipoe, Johnny Drille, and Ayra Starr, Boy Spyce, Magixx, and others.

Aided by his cousin and Chief Operating Officer of the label, Tega Oghenejobo, and other members of staff, Don Jazzy has grown the company to become one of the most reckoned with in the music industry.

In the year 2019, a joint venture between pan-Africa investment company Kupanda Capital and TPG Growth made an investment worth millions of dollars in Mavin Records. Following the investment, the label adopted a new name, ‘Mavin Global’ to reflect its new ambition.

At that time, Don Jazzy said, “Our mission is to grow Mavin Global into the music powerhouse of Africa. By collaborating with artists, African creatives, and local and international partners, we can become a globally recognized household name and the go-to platform for connecting African music with the world.”

Furthermore, the company also collaborates with creators across Africa to provide services in film and content production, licensing and publishing, and brand partnerships.
