On Monday, June 12th, 2023, I held a result oriented meeting with members-elect of the Kaduna State House of Assembly ahead of their inauguration scheduled to hold on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
In the bi-partisan meeting held in a convivial atmosphere, the members-elect not only expressed support for my administration, they also unanimously threw their weight behind the candidacy of Yusuf Liman Dahiru for Speaker of the House of Assembly, and Magaji D. Henry for Deputy Speaker.
While expressing delight at the members-elect’s show of solidarity and closing of ranks in the interest of our dear state, I assured them that my administration will spread dividends of democracy to all their constituencies. We shall be guided by the principles of inclusiveness, fairness, justice and equity. I will operate an open door policy. House members can approach me at any time to frontload the concerns of their constituents. We shall not hesitate to address issues and concerns bordering on the people’s welfare and security.
We committed ourselves to maintaining a cordial executive-legislative relationship in the interest of the State. It is a relationship that will be built on mutual respect.
I wish the members-elect Allah’s guidance as they go through their inauguration formalities and settle down to serve the people of Kaduna State.
