Police arrest suspects who lure victims into love affairs then blackmail them

Men of the Anambra State Police on Thursday, August 18 arrested four suspects allegedly operating a syndicate that lures victims into love affairs and thereafter blackmail them with sex tapes recorded during the ‘affair’.

 

 

 

A statement released by the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, gave the names of the suspects as Okechukwu Ogoejiofor (m) aged 36, Nonso Nwizu (m) aged 34, Esther Nwafor lfeanyichukwu (f) aged 21 and Obianuju Nduba (f) aged 20, at Ajakpani village, Umuanya in Oyi LGA.

Ikenga said preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects used social media to lure their unsuspecting male victims into fake love/friendship affairs.

 

They thereafter, take the victim to a room, where Obianuju Nduba engages the victim in a foreplay. The other members of the gang force themselves into the room, take nude pictures/videos of the victims, which they use to force the victims into transferring huge sums of money to them, with the threat of publishing same on social media if the the victims fail to comply and also dispossess the individual of his personal belongings.”Tochukwu said
